Addressing Invitations

Well, I am almost done addressing all of the invitations! Although, I still need to make sure each one has directions, etc. in it. Hopefully I'll get them all out in the next week! I did them by hand, so I apologize in advance if anyone's name or address is not completely centered :)

Rhubarb

So, I had no idea how hard envelopes were going to be to find. No luck at Office Max, Wal Mart, etc etc. Long story short - I ordered some rhubarb colored envelopes from Paper Source. Our invitations are about 5.5x7.5 so I just ordered their "outer envelopes". I won't need inner envelopes because I am asking people to RSVP to my cell or email address. The envelopes have shipped, so I'm hoping they will arrive in the next few days and I get get them sent out as soon as possible!

Finished Bird Nest

So, I finished Noel's "ird's nest" as she calls it. I always like to ask her if she remembers what she'll be carrying in my wedding - her answer is "ings" (rings, of course). I just added a bit of moss and took a few pics with my rings in it for now.

Woooord. Also, we got our invitations printed today. Just need the envelopes and I'll start addressing them. I'm also almost done with the groomsmen's boutonnieres. It's nice to keep crossing things off the list!

Dessert Table

I think I've put more time into making things for the dessert table than anything else for my wedding. Not sure how it happened that way, but I had to get these Anthropologie mugs to add to the mix. They only had certain letters left so they were on sale. I got four to spell out "x o x o" and will put candy in them.

So cute! I've also made about 5 different cake plates (I posted pics of one in an old post) and I have an old Coca Cola bottle crate I will most likely use on the dessert table. I also made a banner to hang in front/behind it that spells out "love is sweet" and then I have a few other boxes that looks like old chests. Now I just have to decide what kinds of desserts to fill them all with!

I'm hoping it turns out something like these pics:

Except better of course, but you get the idea! So far I'm thinking a few small cakes, cake pops, oreo pops, cookies, and candy...

Bridal Party

So, I gave each of my bridesmaids a color and they got to pick their own dress (I hate feeling uncomfortable, especially in a wedding, so I wanted to let everyone pick something that they would feel comfortable in). Anyway, each bridesmaid's dress will match her groomsman's tie and shoes. For example, this is my sister's dress:

and the best man, who she will be walking with, will have khakis, a white button up, and then these shoes and a tie made with this fabric:

(the closest colors to match)

I think it will end up looking pretty cool with the fuchsia/cranberry, orange, pink and yellow.

Banner Progress

Slightly awkward pictures, but these are what I will string across some tables and anywhere else I can fit them at the reception:
